The St George Karts

St George Karts was conceived at a time when karting’s
affordability, accessibility and friendly rivalry fuelled a rapid growth
in popularity across the globe. To this day, our mission has not
changed – to continue driving industry growth by providing an

History
Karting had very humble beginnings and a “can-do” attitude enabled serious
drivers to further their sporting success.

St George Karts founder Peter Dell was hooked from his very first drive in a
kart and was consumed by a passion to push the boundaries of man and
machine. Since that first day in a kart on a dirt strip in outer Sydney, he has
dedicated his life to producing karts,

St George Karts is the exclusive Australian and
New Zealand distributor of CRG racing karts
For over 25 years, St George Karts and CRG have
collaborated on the design and development of
numerous race winning kart chassis for the
Australian and New Zealand markets.
Headquartered in Lonato, Italy, CRG is one of the
world’s largest and most successful racing kart
manufacturers, having operated at the highest
levels of technical and racing excellence since
the 1970’s.
With a range of karts across all classes and
boasting numerous World Championships, CRG
has been the kart of choice for drivers such as
Lewis Hamilton, Nico Rosberg, Max Verstappen
and Jan Magnussen, who all progressed to highly
successful Formula 1 careers.

PRD ENGINES
In 1995 the PRD race engine company was
formed.
Today, 100% owned and operated by St George
Karts, PRD offers a range of high tech race engines
designed, developed and built in Australia.
Models include high performance 80cc, 100cc
& 125cc air-cooled engines and advanced 125cc
water-cooled models, all encapsulating the heart
of everything St George Karts offers – world class
racing products at affordable prices.
St George Karts founder Peter Dell’s affiliation with
race engines emerged in the 1970’s, and to this
day Peter and his team of engine specialists
oversee all R&D across the PRD range of engines.
PRD race engines have become the engines of
choice for thousands of drivers across Europe,
USA, Asia and Oceana.
ITALSPORT
Owned by St George Karts, the ItalSport brand
offers an extensive range of universal chassis
and engine parts, components and accessories,
and tools and equipment suited to all brands of
racing karts.
The ItalSport range offers quality at competitive
prices, proven to be an everyday winner
for karters across the globe.
SNIPER
St George Karts enjoys a close collaboration with
Sniper, producer of the world’s most sought after laser
wheel alignment system. St George Karts is not only
the major supplier of components used in the
manufacture of the Sniper Laser Aligner, but is also
the exclusive distributor to most countries outside of
Europe Sniper products are available throughout the
United States, South America, Europe, Australia, New
Zealand and throughout Asia.
KSI
Developed by St George Karts, KSI originally offered a
range of after-market engine components designed
mainly for Yamaha kart racing engines. KSI now offers
a range of engine components and accessories suited
to most brands of kart race engines.

St George Karts has been built on a passion for racing.
Peter Dell had an illustrious racing history spanning more than 30 years
and participating in competitions all over the globe.
In Australia he was extremely well known for his karting successes,
taking home trophy after trophy in Aussie karting events.
On the global scene, Peter’s international racing experience allowed
him to gain a highly respected reputation which has helped St George
Karts become what it is today.
The St George Karts’ race team continue to rack up major victories. In
Australia hundreds of National and State Championships have been
won, spanning classes from Cadet through to KZ. In 2015, St George
Karts drivers claimed both KZ and DD2 National championships as well
as several State Champions across the country.
The Australian Race of Stars, the pinnacle event on the Australian Karting
calendar, draws elite drivers from across the world, including European
and World Champions such as Davide Fore and Paulo De Conto. St
George Karts affiliated drivers featured on the winning step
of the podium in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
In addition to racing, St George Karts’ national race team drivers play
a key role in product development and testing. It is this testing that
ensures quality, durability and competitiveness of St George Karts
products on the track.

at every stage, including racing set up and service gives us an
unparalleled insight into what works and what doesn’t. This ensures

Dyno facility – innovation,
precision and control for the
ultimate in testing capability
A rigorous engine R&D program allows us to innovate and puts us ahead of others
in our industry.
St George Karts’ highly sophisticated state-of-the-art computer-controlled dyno
facility enables us to deliver cutting-edge engine research, development and
testing. Our team of full time technicians rigorously pursue performance innovations
and simulate actual on-track racing conditions for any track across the world.
Without leaving our premises, we know exactly how any engine will perform on any
track across the globe. A single change can be isolated, tracked, and tested in a
matter of hours, rather than sending a driver and equipment to test durability and
performance on a particular track.
Every St George Karts’ driver benefits from this extensive ongoing R&D and quality
improvement process. For those drivers looking for that platinum racing edge,
we also offer customised driver racing set ups to suit the individual driver.
In the dyno facility, engines are also tested for durability in a much faster, controlled,
systematic and rigorous fashion.
Managerial team
Every St George Karts team member has a passion for the sport and has
personal experience of karting. Our team has great depth of experience,
gained in Australia and internationally, with some of our employees
working in the industry for more than 40 years.
Ken, our development engineer has been building engines for 40 years.
Darren our team manager, has been running race teams for 25 years.
Mattia came to us from CRG and Maxter engines and now heads up the
KZ program.
Our management team and staff all have a wealth of history in all facets of the
sport. Peter started the company purely from his love of racing and set strong
foundations for building a world-class karting product. His son Chris spent his
youth racing and then got serious on the business and marketing side of things,
to assist with the continued growth of the company.
