For over 40 years St George Kart Centre Wholesale Pty Ltd has been supplying quality karting items to the karting industry. We have prided ourselves on the supply of fast efficient, quality products designed and manufactured locally as well as offshore. St George has access to the best karting products worldwide. St George Kart Centre was established in 1963 by Tony Alessi a karting enthusiast. In 1969 Peter Dell who had a passion for the sport of Karting purchased it. Peter designed and manufactured his own chassis that he raced to great success. Highly successful karts like the Dragon Fly, Dragon, Continental, Sabre, Shadow to name a few. In 1983 St George Kart Centre became a wholesale outlet. Peter could see a growth in the sport of karting. However there was lack of supply of purpose designed and built karting products. Peter instantly began expanding the range of karting products available to the market. In 1990 Peter sold the chassis manufacturing side of the business and began collaboration with a small Italian Kart company named Kali Kart. Soon after Mr. Kali retired and his two son Carlo & Roberto + their brother in law Geon Carlo Tinini took over the company and it was renamed CRG. Since that time St George & CRG have worked together to design and built karts to suit the Australian & New Zealand market with many models being made specifically for St George only. In 1995 the PRD engine company was born. Peter had an idea to design and build an engine for the Australian market. His concept was to provide an engine with more power than the popular Yamaha S engine at a more economical price. Today the PRD engine class is the biggest class is Japan with over 11000 engines sold. Models include 80cc, 100cc & 125cc Air-cooled engines available in Direct Drive or Electric Start/Clutch. Peter’s latest project has been the Fireball, 125cc Water-cooled, reed valve, Electric Start Clutch. In December 2003 Peter retired from St George Kart Centre. His son Chris now runs the company. Peter still does all the design work for PRD but enjoys a more relaxed life.
